A dielectric barrier discharge plasma actuator comprises top and bottom electrodes, with a dielectric layer between the electrodes. A plasma sheet appears on the dielectric layer upon application of a high AC voltage to the electrodes, resulting in flow generation. In this laboratory, to clarify the control effects of plasma actuators on aerodynamic sound and energy loss in oscillatory flow in piping system, wind tunnel experiments and aeroacoustic simulations are performed. When a high electric field is applied to an insulating liquid (refrigerant, oil, etc.), flow also occurs due to Coulomb force. EHD pumps utilizing this phenomenon have no moving parts, and thus are characterized by the absence of vibration and noise compared to conventional pumps using impellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
